2024 Fantasy Outlook
Conklin has seen consistent volume in recent years, finishing each of the past three seasons with exactly 87 targets while averaging 588.7 receiving yards and two touchdowns over that span. He set a career high with 621 yards last season but failed to find the end zone. Conklin could benefit from better quarterback play after catching passes from Zach Wilson for most of the past two seasons, as Aaron Rodgers has recovered from the Achilles injury he suffered four snaps into the 2023 campaign. The upgrade from Wilson to Rodgers overshadows the possibility of targets being siphoned away by offseason wide receiver signing Mike Williams, and Conklin remains ahead of 2022 third-round draft pick Jeremy Ruckert on the tight end depth chart. Ruckert has yet to play at least half of the Jets’ offensive snaps in any game, while Conklin -- who will be 29 years old when the 2024 season kicks off -- exceeded 60 percent in all but two games last season. Three straight years of 87 targets
Conklin caught two of three targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Patriots. He finishes the season with 61 catches on 87 targets for 621 yards.
ANALYSIS
Conklin finished with exactly 87 targets for the third consecutive season, and he caught exactly 61 of those passes for the second time in that stretch. After scoring three touchdowns in each of those previous two seasons, Conklin failed to find the end zone in 2023. He'll likely reprise his role atop the tight end depth chart in the final year of his contract with the Jets next season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could benefit from Flacco playing
Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that Joe Flacco will start in Week 18 against the Dolphins, which could result in more targets for Conklin.
ANALYSIS
Flacco started the first three games of the season and targeted Conklin 24 times. In 13 games with Mike White or Zach Wilson under center, Conklin averaged only 4.5 targets per game, down significantly from his average of eight targets from Flacco. The 37-year-old quarterback doesn't have the mobility to extend plays and the Jets' banged-up offensive line can't sustain blocks for long, so Flacco's likely to feed Conklin a steady diet of short passes against a Dolphins defense that's allowed 933 yards and 10 touchdowns to tight ends.

Conklin finished second on the Jets in targets (87), catches (58), receiving yards (552) and touchdowns (three) in 2022. He played over 70 percent of the team's snaps 14 times, slotting in ahead of C.J. Uzomah and rookie third-rounder Jeremy Ruckert on the team's tight end depth chart. Ruckert could command a larger role this season, and Conklin will have more competition for targets after the Jets signed wide receivers Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman, but New York's passing game is also expected to be more effective with Aaron Rodgers under center. Conklin's one of only seven tight ends to top 550 yards in each of the past two seasons, and Rodgers could help Conklin clear his previous high of three TDs.
